Mark 4:35-40

Jesus Stills the Storm

Introduction: The disciples want to know, who is Jesus? 35 That evening Jesus said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." Leaving the crowd

behind, they took him along in the boat. A furious storm came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it nearly turned over. Jesus was in the boat, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and cried out to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was

completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" The disciples were greatly afraid and asked each other, "Who is this that even the wind and the sea obey him!"
