The Revelation

Introduction The apostle John was given a glimpse of heaven.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place, and He sent the revelation by signs through an angel to His servant John. 8 "I am the First and the Last," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

Do not be afraid. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” After this I, John, looked, 2 and there before me in heaven was one sitting on a throne. 3 A rainbow encircled

the throne and there were twenty-four elders seated on thrones. 6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal. Then I saw a Lamb looking as if it had been slain, standing by the throne. After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation,

tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and

they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven 2 and he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the

devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations to gather them for battle 9 against God's people. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them all. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire. There he will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small,

standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and

there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the

old order of things has passed away." Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, 2 and on each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.” 17 The Spirit and the bride say,

"Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. 20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
